It's stunning watching CNN, MSNBC, and all the other hack media going to the well for the 505th time that "Trump is the biggest threat to democracy, and he hates Amerikkka!". I didn't see any democrat bitching about having no primary and just installing Kamala Harris, somehow. Do we see uproars from democrats towards their horrible DEI hires that are letting blue cities and blue states go to shit? No way! We can't question our inept dem leaders, then we might discover why Trump won in a landslide.
It's stunning to watch all my punk rock friends who used to question everything, now embracing authoritarianism like it's an old friend, because "Orange-man bad!". I'm being told I'm a nazi sympathizer because I question the disingenuous nature that Elon Musk is covered for his apparent "Sieg Heil".
Barry -- you noted the apparent hypocrisy of the Democratic leadership -- which is very vocal about abiding by norms -- with regard to the primary. Over the summer, James Carville basically told critics of the process to pound sand and shut up because the parties get to choose who they want. It sounds like motivated reasoning to me, where you reverse-engineer to justify getting the end result you wanted.
The true blue, most ideological of the Democratic party voters can't speak up about the state of blue cities, because that would transgress from the approved narrative of elevating their concept of social justice. They would be outcasts from their own party and, more importantly, from their social circles.

Another excellent article, Anthony.
